From August 6th-9th the final stage of Ukraine kiteboarding championship «Tez Tour Kite Champ» took place. We are glad to announce that once again ABoards Kiteboarding Ukrainian rider Mihail Khromykh got 2^nd place in Freestyle and in overall rankings of the three stages became winner of silver prize of the championship.

ABoards wetsuit resembles new generation of warm and super stretchy suits for kitesurfers, windsurfers, surfers, wakeboarders and other fans of watersports. Wetsuits are made of multiple high grade neoprene panels in a technologically advanced process to closely follow the body anatomy to ensure maximum comfort and minimal muscle stress during extensive physical work-out. Close fit to the body shape together with double neck collar inside and special shape of arm and leg holes ensure minimal water penetration inside the wetsuit even at extreme conditions. Special drainage holes in the lower suit area quickly remove any water penetrated.

Usage of high grade Termotex and SCX neoprene in combination with non-porous, reinforced and stretchy OUTSIDE materials guarantee low water absorption, resulting in quick dry properties during and after riding. Anti-soaking characteristics mean the light weight of the wetsuit even when wet. Outside coating of neoprene is reinforced to make it stronger and more durable and avoid damaging of the suit from contact with harness, kite, wake or surf board and other hard or sharp objects.

Warm, soft and flexy materials are used for INSIDE jersey at contact with the body to provide comfort and avoid unpleasant feeling or rubbing of skin during riding. Special Towel-like brushed like sheets in combination with fleece like panels avoid sticking of inside fabrics to the body and ensures skin breathing and warm feeling at wide range of temperatures.

For protection of rider against crashes special rib-protect shock shields at sides, reinforced and elastic croc-skin knee pillows and shin protect panels are installed.

Kite Party (http://kiteparty.lv/) the largest kite boarding event in the Baltics took place from 23^rd-26^th of July, 2009 in Ventspils city beach at the shores of the open Baltic sea. It was attended by over 1000 people from all over the Baltics, Scandinavia, France and guests from other European countries. Among attendants were kite boarders, their friends, supporters and spectators. This year the record number of participants 127 kite boarders from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia registered for the competition.

Wind God obviously loves Kite Party and also this year blessed with an appropriate weather to make it possible for the sheer number of participants to enjoy kite boarding, relaxation and taking part in competitions. Despite the unfavourable weather forecast, which expected rain, hail and even storm, not a single rain drop was seen in Venstpils on both competition days yet more Saturday was especially sunny.

Competition Burusports Kiteboarding Cup took place in such disciplines as marathon, free style and also kite loop. Riders from Aboards team put up powered performance to take 2^nd place in kite loop discipline – Gints Fenuks (ABoards Kiteboarding) and 3^rd place in free style discipline to Aleksander Ogorodnikov (Aboards Kiteboarding). Congratulations, we are wholeheartedly proud of you! Prize for winners is a week’s accommodation in Dennis Beach Studio, in Rhodes, Greece, one of the most popular kite board destinations in the world.

“Within these five years Kite Party organized in Latvia has become the central and largest kite boarding event in the Baltics. I am pleased about the positive atmosphere and enthusiasm of members in this year’s event. Kite boarding is not only a sport, it is a lifestyle of progressive people and it is always a pleasure to work and relax together with such people”, says Larss Abolins, the author of the idea and organizer of Kite Party. The event was justified and as arrived counterparts from Lithuanian and Estonian said – they admire and even envy Latvia in a positive way about such event.
